Years ago I had two boy cats - Romulus and Remus. They left me when they were 3 years old. Remy could not stop throwing up and he refused to eat and drink. Last week, Hester presented those same signs and I sat helplessly watching and waiting for the moment to call the vet. HOWEVER, I think I have been blessed with sturdy girls. Hester finally expectorated a wad of thread and was off running, romping eating and drinking like a nothing happened. Where she got the thread I haven't a clue. I lock up everything - yarn, thread, plastic, etc. Goofy girl. Below are pictures of the girls when I was reorganizing my files.

Thank God! It's so hard to catch one's breath when a pet/family member is scary sick. I'm very, very happy for you and your girls.
ReplyDeleteWhen you've lost a cat or two, it's hard to believe that sometimes illnesses and mishaps are minor much of the time. I lost my Cleo 11 years ago, and I still worry whenever Sweetpea is a little under the weather.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Hester could throw up the thread since it can cause intestinal blockages... But you know that and kudos to you for keeping it all locked away.
Love the photos! You have to look twice to see that there are two different cats!
So glad to hear that she's doing fine! She's even back to the innocent "who me, break into a locked drawer or unravel a sock or something just to get at loose threat?" look.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she's ok.
ReplyDeleteOh, how scary that must have been! Thank heaven she's OK!
ReplyDeleteAny Enid and Hester updates? I love these two girls.
