My trip to the vet with Enid ended well. I took both of the girls since they don't like to be alone. I let them run around the vet and get into all kinds of trouble. The technicians and receptionists cooed over the girls and warned me when a dog would be coming out. The vet looked at Enid and told me (as did some of the blog followers) that it was a delayed reaction to the rabies shot. She said watch it and if it bothers Enid or Hester come back in. Since this was a rabies shot follow up she wouldn't charge me. I was a bit stunned. I told her I am willing to pay for peace of mind for the girls but she wouldn't charge me. Many blessings on the head of this vet!
So the girls and returned home to take a much deserved nap. I love waking up to happiness and content kittens.
Enid: Wake up! Don't go back to sleep because we are purring! I am SOOOO gonna make you pay for what that person stuck in my backside today! (Enid growled at the vet tech and then really growled at the vet....none of them took it personally. Whew)
So glad the girls are both OK. Hope you all enjoy a lovely Easter.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear that all is well.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've got a wonderful vet who cares about the critters and is honest with the customers. That must be great for peace of mind. (Despite what the girls would say about certain cold, pointed, NASTY intrusion devices.)
Such great news. And these girls are growing up to be just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGood news! They are such lovely kitties.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to hear that everything is okay with both lovely ladies...I laughed at Enid growing at the vet tech & the vet :) None of ours DARE growl at our usual vet (one look from her and they turn into meek little mice) but my Bino tried to bite the backup vet that I took him to last month!
ReplyDeletegood! i hoped it was just that. :) same thing happened to me and my cat from the shelter. i freaked that i had fallen in love with an amazing kitty, and that the cruel world had given her cancer just to break my heart. i like to assume the worst. don't we all when it comes to the ones we love. ;)
ReplyDeletemy vet said something about live vs. dead vaccines. a lot of animals seem to be having bad reactions lately. it's actually kind of scary... my dog has to get a benedryl shot before his, or else he puffs up like a balloon.
I'm so glad the girls are doing well! Blessings on your vet too :)
ReplyDeleteThank goodness. Enid's just trying to make sure you're paying attention. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to here that, as a vet tech I can sympathize.
