Gratitude for the girls

Despite running all day the girls woke me up last night to hear a potential prowler outside my bedroom window. Both girls growled at the interruption over their purring contest at 2 am on the morning. With the lights on and roaming around the apartment over the incident the girls thought it was time to play. Enid made the glitter ball her enemy and Hester roamed aka ran around the apartment yowling.

Enid is right now trying to entice me to come back to bed so she can snuggle.

  1. Stranger Danger alarm has never sounded cuter I bet. Good girls to protect their mama.

  2. Hi, Karen. I enjoy following your blog and reading your unique kitty commentaries. I was wondering if you could post more photos. I know it can be a pain in the butt, but I don't think I'm being presumptuous to say that most people like looking at the kittens. They don't have to be doing anything fascinating or heroic, it's just more fun when there are pics attached. Oh, and when we can click and look at the full size image--I love that! Keep up the good work.

  3. Good girls! I'm so glad that it didn't do more than interrupt their purring contest and make you wake up.

  4. What great little girls!
I hope there really wasn't a prowler, but it's great to know that you have an early warning system.
Happy New Year to you all!

  6. Great alarm system. Good for Enid and Hester. My kittehs are like that, but the opposite. If there is something hinky going on outside, they run and hide. If it's something normal, they ignore it. They are my danger benchmark.

  8. If anyone doubts that kitties are good for one's health, they should look here! And thank you for this commentary; I do SO love watching "our" IBK as they enjoy their Forever homes and grow. Oh .. ask at the pet store, there's some stuff called "Bitter Apple". If you put it on the cords, she won't be chewing on them anymore. It doesn't hurt them but I am here to tell you, they DO NOT like it! And...please give them a cozy snorgle from me in Wisconsin!
